The Enchanted Circle Bicycle Tour offers participants the opportunity to ride some of the most scenic areas in the southwest. On both the 85 and 100-mile course, cyclists will experience rewarding climbs, rolling hills, fast descents, and hairpin turns. Bounded by some of the most spectacular peaks in New Mexico, the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway features the iconic mountain town of Red River, the Village of Questa, the soul of the Southwest in Taos, the four-season resort of Angel Fire, the summer-home community of Eagle Nest and the state’s highest mountain road in Bobcat Pass. There’s no better way to experience the raw, natural beauty of Northern New Mexico!

Gold Panning
The Guided Gold Panning Excursion provides an adventure that relies on high-clearance vehicles to follow an old mining trail to a gold-bearing stream near Red River. You may find gold ranging in size from flakes to pea-sized nuggets.

The early 1900's forgot the old mining town of Red River, New Mexico. Though surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in America, few people knew of its beauty, fishing potential and recreational possibilities. It seems inconceivable, in the latter years of the twentieth century, that Red River was ever a tiny strip of bars and minimal commercial activity sitting on the edge of a snowmelt marsh.

Are you looking for a challenge or something most people wouldn’t dare attempt? If so, then you’re in luck. Right outside Red River is a popular destination for local rock climbers!
New Mexico is one of the best states in the U.S. for rockhounding, both for its large quantity of rockhounding sites and the wide variety of rocks and minerals available to be collected. The state’s vast open grasslands and deserts are largely covered by public lands which are open for public use – including rockhounding – which make it an attractive destination for amateur geologists. While there are no shortages of sites or minerals to collect, caution should be taken when venturing into the sparsely populated and difficult to access wilderness in which they reside.

Taos, New Mexico a offers one of the best all-around hot air balloon flights available in the U.S.A. Taos Hot Air Balloon Rides follow a unique balloon flight path over the Rio Grande Gorge, the wilderness and the "high bridge," which is unmatched in its scenic beauty and outstanding hot air balloon flight conditions.
We offer Rio Grande Gorge Sunrise flights, followed by a delicious continental Champagne brunch. These hot air balloon flights are over an hour long, sometimes much longer, depending on a combination of factors including wind conditions and landing areas. We will travel up to 10 miles at altitudes typically between 500 ft and 4000 ft above the Taos area.

Starting at ground level, the two seater ride pulls you backwards 600 feet over the Pioneer Corridor, with a brief pause for viewing. Then gravity takes over and you are released at approximately 35 miles per hour back down to the loading deck, soaring over the fishing ponds from The Face.
Please note that participants must be at least 42 inches tall to ride.
Speaking of trails, horseback riding is another popular activity for our guests. You'll have a guide there to show you some of the visual decoration in the area, all while on your noble steed.
